Accessibility
How this website is built to be usable by everyone, what we know is not yet perfect, and how to tell us about a barrier.
Our standard
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA across the site.
What we have done
- Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels, and every function works with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Motion respects your device’s reduced-motion setting, and a Pause motion control sits at the top of every page.
- The 3D instrument is decorative; everything it shows is also written in the page.
- Text and controls are checked for colour contrast, and pages reflow to a 320-pixel-wide screen.
Known limitations
- Some wide tables in the tools scroll sideways on small screens, within their own frame.
- The emailed reports are checked for accessibility as they are produced; if one is not usable for you, ask and we will provide an alternative format.
Testing
The site is tested with automated checks and by hand with a keyboard at several screen widths. It has not been audited by an independent third party.
