What personal data this website and our services collect, why, who processes it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. Written to match how the site actually works.
Who we are
GKM Strategic Advisory & AI is a trading name of GKM Legacy Holdings, registered in Maryland, USA, which is responsible for the personal data described here. To make a request about your data, use the contact page.
What we collect, and when
- Enquiries, briefs and booking requests: the details you type into a form, such as your name, email, organisation and message, sent only when you press submit.
- Tool reports: your email, an optional organisation name and the tool inputs you ask us to turn into a report. Until you ask, tool inputs stay in your browser.
- Engagements: the information needed to deliver the work you commission, under the terms of your contract.
What we do not collect
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts and scripts are served from our own host, so viewing a page sends nothing to third parties. See Cookies and analytics.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and deliver what you asked for (your request, or our contract with you).
- To send the weekly digest and occasional guides, only if you ticked the separate box (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To keep proper business records (our legitimate interests, and legal obligations).
Who else processes it
Our website host and our email provider process form submissions on our behalf. We do not sell personal data or share it for others’ marketing.
Where it goes
Our principals work from Ghana and our providers may process data in other countries. Where transfer safeguards are required, we put them in place.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up, then deleted unless they become part of an engagement. Engagement records are kept as the contract and the law require. You can unsubscribe from the digest at any time, and we stop sending it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use, and withdraw consent. In Ghana these rights come from the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843); in the EU and UK, from the GDPR and UK GDPR. You can also complain to your data-protection authority, such as Ghana’s Data Protection Commission.
Children
This site is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, for example by adding analytics, we update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
