- 6 claims. From the front they look alike.

- Written permission to name the client: 67%.
- Evidence entered for a competency: 83%.
- A boast is proved with a source or removed. Here it is removed: 100%.
The demo: the worked example, one input at a time

- 04Example Ministry: survey
Differentiators
- 05Field teams in three West African countries
- 06Leading evaluation firm in the region
Six claims that look alike. Three have depth.
The one input that changesNone: the worked example as it stands.
3 ÷ 6 = 50% of claims with evidence. Hairlines: “Survey design and analysis” (no evidence entered), “Example Ministry: survey” (permission asked, not given), “Leading evaluation firm in the region” (a superlative with no proof entered). The page prints “[Client withheld]: survey (2024): National staff survey, 2,000 responses”.
The page it prints plain outline, in the tool’s own words

Now your statement, claim by claim.
Build a one-page capability statement for government and institutional buyers from facts you can prove: competencies with evidence, past performance you may name, differentiators with proof, and your registration codes.

From abovedepth is proof entered
First without depth: “Survey design and analysis” (no evidence entered).
A project printed as “[Client withheld]” is a correct line in a statement. It still counts as one a buyer cannot check, so a firm with confidential clients will not reach 100%.
Evidence check
Evidence check
- Check: “Survey design and analysis” has no evidence.Add a project, credential or output that proves it, or drop it.
- Check: “Example Ministry: survey”: permission not confirmed.Describe it without the client’s name until you have written permission.
- Gap: “Leading evaluation firm in the region” is an unproven superlative.Prove it with a source or remove it; buyers discount unsupported claims.
- Note: No UEI yet.Registration in SAM.gov is free. Add the UEI only once it is issued.

- The firm: Example Foundation: grantee evaluation
- The firm: [Client withheld]: survey
- The firm: Field teams in three West African countries (Named team leads and contracts)
Unknown: no evidence named
- The firm: Survey design and analysis

What these words mean
Verified means you named the evidence and marked it as seen on file; for a past project, that a contract or completion letter is on file. Claimed means evidence is named and nobody has marked it as seen. Unknown means no evidence is named. This tool has seen no document and confirms nothing.

A statement shows every claim from the front. That is why each one has to carry its proof.
How it checks, and its limits.
Every competency needs evidence, every named client written permission, and every differentiator proof. The tool sees whether a proof field holds something. It cannot see whether what it holds is true.
Method
- 01
Every competency needs evidence, every named client written permission, and every differentiator proof.
- 02
Superlatives (leading, best, world-class) without proof are errors.
- 03
NAICS codes must be six digits; a UEI is twelve characters issued by SAM.gov.
- 04
Work a principal did before or outside the firm, or a partner institute’s work, is entered apart and printed under its own heading. It is never printed or counted as a contract of the firm, and it is not part of the share.
- 05
Verified means the evidence is named and marked as seen on file; claimed means it is named and not marked; unknown means none is named. Marking moves no figure: the share still counts evidence entered.
What it cannot tell you
- It never adds certifications, registrations or projects you did not enter.
- It does not check your SAM.gov registration.
- Layout and design come with the emailed outline.
Quality ruleNo invented certification, registration or past performance.
Before a buyer reads it, have it read once.
The planner shows which claims have something behind them. A review asks the harder question: would that proof satisfy the buyer you are writing for?
