The practice
Opportunity screening, bid/no-bid decisions, tender and grant writing and SAM.gov readiness, built on evidence you hold and requirements traced clause by clause.
Practice 06 of 11
When organisations call us, and where we stop.
The situations this practice exists for, and the lines we do not cross.
When to call
- You find calls too late or bid for the wrong ones
- A live tender needs a compliant response
- A donor call fits your work and the deadline is close
- A buyer asks for your capability statement
Our boundaries
- We never invent experience, staff or references.
- Nobody can guarantee an award; we tell you early when a bid is weak.
- Commission-based fees are not offered.
Services in this practice.
Each one starts with a defined first scope and a fixed fee agreed in writing.
- 06.01 Funding and tender alertsWe screen your organisation against a defined set of current funding calls and tenders, and give you a clear verdict on each: bid, partner or pass, with the reason and the next action.
- 06.02 Tender, RFP and bid writingWe start by reviewing one live tender’s compliance requirements, and price the full response only after the evidence and scope checks, so you never pay for a bid you cannot win on eligibility.
- 06.03 SAM.gov readiness and capability statementWe prepare an accurate capability statement and a registration-readiness checklist for US federal contracting. Registering in SAM.gov is free; you pay us only for preparation, never for the registration itself.
- 06.04 Grant proposal writing for donorsWe review one donor call and your project concept, then produce the narrative, logframe and budget workstream the call requires, built on evidence you can stand behind.

Free tool Bid/no-bid decision matrix
Test an opportunity against the eligibility rules that cannot be negotiated, then score it on eight weighted criteria. A hard eligibility failure overrides any score, and the weakest criteria tell you what evidence to find before you commit.

Free tool RFP compliance matrix template
Paste the tender text you are permitted to use. The builder finds every “shall”, “must” and “should” requirement, keeps its clause reference and position in the text, and lays out a compliance matrix with owner and evidence columns.
Open the tool
Free tool Theory of change template
Set out the goal, the outcomes you expect and the outputs and activities that lead to them, with indicators and assumptions. The builder checks the logic: outcomes that read like activities, outputs linked to nothing and outcomes nothing produces.
Open the tool
Free tool Capability statement template
Build a one-page capability statement for government and institutional buyers from facts you can prove: competencies with evidence, past performance you may name, differentiators with proof, and your registration codes.

Free tool Tender and grant opportunity finder
Choose your markets and whether you want tenders, grants or both. The finder lists the official portals where those notices are published, with what each covers and how to search it, and can send new matches to you every week.

Free tool Proposal examples and templates
Choose the kind of proposal you are writing. You get an annotated structure showing what each section is for and what reviewers look for, plus links to real examples only where their owners have published them for reuse.
